TIMOTHY NASTASI

Period Flutes

Timothy Nastasi, born in the West of France, began studying the flute at the Civica Scuola di Musica di Milano, continuing at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Rocco Abate. He received further inspiration from János Bálint and Davide Formisano. He has performed as a chamber musician and as a soloist in Italy, France, and Switzerland. As an orchestral flutist, he participated in the Academy of Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, the Youth Orchestra of Lago Maggiore, the Production Orchestra of the Milan Conservatory, the Sinfolario Symphony Orchestra and as a guest artist of the Charity Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala. As a soloist, Timothy recorded the soundtrack of the movie L’Uomo del Labirinto, composed by Vito Lo Re. Since 2015 he has been intensely dedicated to historical performance, taking lessons with Diego Fratelli, Marcello Gatti, and Giulia Nuti, and performing as a soloist in the Baroque ensemble of the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. Timothy obtained a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, under the guidance of Maestro Alfred Rutz.

Since March 2021 Timothy is a member of ensemble VERITÀ.
